We, the Viendi founders, work in the architectural field and have to use the numpad a lot. Releasing the mouse to use a right-sided numpad is inconvenient and inefficient.
The left numpad lets you use the numpad and a right-sided mouse at the same time. It also frees up more space for your mouse.
We are obsessed with minimalism and sublime elegance. This results in an uncompromisingly compact layout: powerful, flexible, and practical.
Within the simple, slim form factor, there are bold details that make the design stand out: the exposed brass plate and the programmable knob.
WHO LEFT NUMPAD IS FOR?
EVERYONE: more ergonomic and efficient.
TECHNICAL DRAFTERS: CAD Drafters, Architects, Engineers.
Change 2u zero into double 1u zero, saving time on typing 0.
Lack of “=” key?
Solution: you can start a syntax using numpad “+” instead of “=”
“=sum(L8:L9)” gives same result as “+sum(L8:L9)”
Full navigation keys when numlock is off
Or when numlock is on:
Shift + numpad 3 = Page Down.
Shift + numpad 9 = Page Up.
FULL F-ROW KEYS:
Quick swap of numpad into all F-row keys via settings (layers).
MACRO PAD via settings:
Daily tasks macros for many apps or even gaming.
WHY LEFT KNOB?
Most knobs are placed on the right side which requires releasing the mouse to use. Inconvenient and inefficient.
Lefty knob does not!
Positioning the knob in the top-left corner also provides an ergonomic access and continuous use of the mouse hand.
WHAT CAN THE KNOB DO?
Mouse Scroll up/down for web surfing.
Cycle through open apps (Alt+Tab).
Cycle through files within active apps (Ctrl+Tab).
Or any functions or macros you can do with normal keys.
Press down the knob to cycle through these modes.

CAREFUL ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
WHY IS THE PLATE MATERIAL ONLY BRASS?
Take a closer look, you can see the outer edge of the plate is a 1mm milled radius fillet, which has never been done on any other board before. This can not be done with PC, FR4, or acrylic.
LUXURY AND CLASSY.
Detailed engineering results in a eye-catching highlight of a continuous reflection and shadow-effect around the edge. This can not be achieved with aluminium or laser cutting methods.
The brass plate does not actually touch the top case. We milled the lower edge of the top case a bit, which gives the appearance that the top case is floating above the plate with a shadow-gap between them.
ROUND FILLET EDGES. Your palm will feel comfortable when laid down while typing.
Also, these filleted edges will make the anodized coating harder to scratch and more durable than a 45° chamfer method.
Bottom side: solid Viendi brass emblem, and continuous rounded edging.

Shadow colorway anodized finish as compared to high-end brand name product to the right. We aim to ship final units with this quality of finish.
